New Moon in Aries, Deer Spirit Friends - I’m not going to do an analysis of the chart for this New Moon because the basic themes are the same as the Equinox chart which I just did last week. I’m very excited about this newsletter because I decided to solicit contributions from some of my students and friends and they responded with some really fine pieces. I hope you enjoy them! This New Moon in Aries is the time to really dream big and begin to create some totally new realities in your life, so lets talk about how to set intentions… It’s all a matter of being at the right place at the right time with crystal clear intentions, so we can catch the creative wave and surf it. At the end of the ride, we emerge onto a different beach than the one we embarked from. Our dream has become reality. Yes, this is the Art of Dreaming, the spiritual warrior’s path… The Only Game In Town! But before we set our intentions and offer them up to The Force, let’s consider them carefully. Will they enhance and empower our personal growth and serve the greater good of all? Our Intentions should always be benevolent and never violate the free will of another. If our intentions are ego driven, then we will create tension in the unified field which will cause harm to ourselves and others. Here is an example of how to set intentions which I like to share with my students and friends. I got the concept (it’s not a direct quote) from one of Barbara Marciniak’s books, all of which I recommend without reservation. Here it is… You are at your favorite restaurant. You’ve been going there for years and have always had great service and sumptuous food and drink. You have many fond memories of all the great times you’ve had there. The waitress comes to your table at just the right time to take your order. It’s a special order. You want the chef to do some special things just for you. You are a valued customer and you know that he’ll gladly do whatever you request, as long as it’s within reason. You nonchalantly state exactly what you want. The waitress takes your order to the kitchen and you resume your conversation with your date. You forget about your order. You don’t worry about what’s going on in the kitchen because you know that your meal will be prepared perfectly and served on time. Distant Healing I’ve been doing lots of distant healing, especially in the last 3 ½ yrs., since I got my Reiki Master certification. When I first began to get the hang of it, I was amazed at how easy it was! I found that I was effortlessly connecting with and reading the energies of people who were hundreds or even thousands of miles away. I would simply hold a photo of them in my Reiki hands(or visualize them if I didn’t have a photo, or use their name as a mantra if I didn’t know what they looked like), and intend for the Reiki to flow to them. Lately, I’ve had an epidemic of distant clients with serious issues - stage 4 cancer, nasty spirit attachments, severe viral infections, etc.. This work has really enhanced my heart chakra and opened up my 3rd eye. The more I do distant healing, the more intimate my connection with The All becomes. I was coaching one of my Level 2 students last night on how to do distant work. I told her that distance is an illusion – there is no separation, because the essences of all things are intimately linked... EVERTHING IS IN YOUR HEART!!! And then Bernie sent me this piece…
Reiki for the Dead When I received the distant symbol as part of my Reiki 2 attunement my teacher, Peter Goldbeck, told me that I could use it to send Reiki across the country, across the world, even intergalactically. My experience of other galaxies is similar to the earliest days of Atlantis: healing ain’t necessary because the bodies of beings I’ve met on stars ain’t made of flesh (actually, I don’t know why it wasn’t necessary in early Atlantis, probably because the locals were more in tune with the cosmos than we are). But on impulse I asked about sending energy to my mother, a tortured soul who died in the summer of 1993 at the age of 92, present whereabouts unknown. Yes, I could send reiki to her. Peter’s lightheartedness is the stuff of legend, so I took this with a grain of Himalayan salt, and said I’d probably try. But I didn’t. I was busy sending energy to my sister, brother-in-law and second cousin, all in the Phoenix area and all ailing. And my brother, who suffers from Parkinson’s, in Wisconsin. And a hound dog with kidney problems I know in Westchester County. And assorted friends in and around Manhattan. Besides, if I were going to use that energy I’d send it to my friend and former coworker Shelley, who literally worried herself to death at the age of 52 for the sake of others. But a funny thing happened after I’d gotten my Level 3 attunement. While I was doing some hands-on reiki for my wife with the ephemeral help of another dear friend, a living friend, who was my sister and healing partner in ancient Egypt, the face of another departed friend appeared. Other curious things have happened to me since I got the Level 3 (it also goes by the title “Master,” but ain’t no way I’m claiming mastery just yet, if ever). For instance I’ve had visions of Mayan and Atlantean pyramids—they’re identical—and now instead of using Peter Goldbeck’s image of the Eiffel Tower as a tool for receiving and radiating energy I’ve been using one of those pyramids. A pen pal in California who’s a Karuna master sent me the name of an organization that does remote healing for animals and I volunteered. The possibilities excite me no end. Meanwhile, I had a message from the elders on Polaris (The North Star, or Pole Star), my eternal home base, that if I visit every night the elders will tear down and rebuild my body, including my nervous system, which definitely can use rebuilding. The heart, they told me, was okay. I trust that particular message. I’ve had more than one vision of the entire world entering my heart. When it first happened, it scared the pants off me. Now, I’d welcome it. I guess that’s progress. Probably the Reiki training has helped get me to that point. And if and when that happens, I hope Linda will be among the first to enter.

If You’re Looking for Love... The only love that will satisfy you is the love that comes from your own heart, felt for oneself, felt for everyone. People come and go, but love remains. Appreciate connections for their unique beauty, but when they end, then move on, and when they change, then adapt. Ultimately, one needs to love oneself truly before one can truly love another. Otherwise you will just be projecting your insecurities onto the other person, as if they "complete" you. However, you are complete unto yourself. You are your lover, your best friend. Focus on that relationship first. Then and only then, when you find a partner, it will be more like a sharing, than a need-filled attachment to each other. Two lovers become “just friends”. It is not the end, it is just a different expression of the love between them. If there isn't friendship after being lovers, then move on.... with the appreciation of the connection while it lasted, and with the lessons learned from the interactions, let go. Think of this as an opportunity to grow from the experience. In this way, you are opening yourself up to a new way of being which will enable you to have deeper, healthier and more intimate connections. Allow yourself to cry. So many times after a breakup, people just attempt to suppress their emotions and to close their hearts because it hurts too much. However, by allowing yourself to cry, you will be able to fully let go when you are ready. The fact that a relationship ends isn't any failing on your part. You are beautiful, simply because you are the only person like you in the world, unique. Do not pity yourself; you are the master of your life. Cry out of respect for the past relationship, cry out of sadness, but not because you feel lonely. You have people in your life that love and adore you. You are never alone.
Circle of Light This meditation is an honoring and an offering of your unique self back to the planet and all that exists on it. Imagine there is a glowing flame in your heart center. It may be any color you like, or as many colors as you like. It is your flame. Know that this flame exists because you exist. Nurture the flame with your breath. Inhale... see the fire in your heart get brighter. Exhale... see the flame expand. Inhale, the light of your heart radiates brightly, exhale, and your heart light expands so that it glows through-out your entire body. The light flows through your arms... your fingertips...your legs... through the bottoms of your feet and toes down into the earth... through the top of your head, up into the sky. As the light expands it moves through you and around you. This fire, this light, is energy. What does it feel like? Does it tingle? Is it warm? Is it cool? Does it feel good? As you inhale, see and feel your personal fire glowing brighter and stronger, exhale, and it expands to fill the room you are in. How does it feel to shine? How does it feel for your spirit to expand? As you continue to breathe, your light shines more brilliantly and spreads out until eventually the whole planet is glowing with color. As your heart light dips and swirls with delight, notice that there are other beautiful lights resonating with you. Invite them to join you. You becomes we. Together we create a kaleidoscope of ever-changing beauty. Inhale... Exhale... Notice how it feels to share the joy of our collective light. We come together to create a myriad of exquisite possibilities. We are truly connected as our unique colors combine and swirl in a synergistic dance of illumination. Our collective design is resonating and pulsating with brilliance in the Universe and expanding far beyond the moon, the planets, the stars, the entire galaxy... Know that this light, the light we give and the light we receive, is a healing force. As you bask in the beauty and joy of this ever-present luminous energy, let your attention focus on our Mother Planet Earth. See the beauty that you have created surround the entire planet with healing love. The light penetrates through the atmosphere, purifying the air, every drop of water vapor a hologram of the universal kaleidoscope. Visualize the leaves of all the treetops on Earth, reaching up with joy to drink in our precious light, sending nourishing energy down their trunks and deep into the earth through their roots, crystallizing our love deep underground. Healing love... Breathe in precious, nourishing, oxygen rich air. Feel it fill your lungs... Feel our love returned. See the oceans' brilliant blue as they are revitalized by the crystal rains of light consciousness... healing light... every plant, every being, every mineral filled with this light energy... nourishing the earth as she nourishes us... deep to the very core of all existence... all is safe... all is balanced... all is healed and renewed. Know that the love you give is returned to you again and again. Know that your unique, brilliant light is important and beloved. Know that you are connected to all things. Know that our collective journey is one of empowerment and healing. Bask in the love reflected to you. Feel it fill your body with every breath you take. Feel that love pour like honey through the top of your head, down your spine, past your throat, your chest, your solar plexus, your abdomen, your pelvis, down your legs, through to your feet. You are filled with love. In fact, there is a never-ending supply within you and around you. Feel the sensations of love in your body. Become more aware of your Physical Self. When you are ready, wiggle your toes, move your fingers, reach your arms overhead and give yourself a good stretch. Know that when you open your eyes, Earth has much beauty to share with you. When you allow yourself to feel sad, you are also allowing yourself to feel joy when it arises. They go hand in hand - if you try to desensitize yourself to one, you are desensitizing yourself to the other.
