Geordie Numata: Founder of Deer Spirit Reiki
In 1986, while working as a chef, he began giving astrology readings. During the WTC attacks on September 11th, 2001, Geordie was in the midst of a personal healing crisis which resulted in another awakening. He decided that he wanted to play a more active role in bringing healing and spiritual guidance to his community. Through prayer, he was guided to Reiki. A friend introduced him to Reiki Master Teacher Louisiana Zinn and he received his first Reiki treatment at her Reiki circle. He immediately knew that Reiki was the right path. He took level 1&2 Reiki training with Louisiana and Reiki Master Teacher and Karuna Reiki Master Teacher training with Carlos Gonzalez of the International Center For Reiki Training. Next, he took the Basic, Advanced, Karmic Intensive level and ulti Frequency/Merlin's Jewel VortexHealing® trainings with Lorraine Stobbe - Goldbloom. He started his Reiki Circle on the Vernal Equinox ( first day of spring ), March 20th, 2006 and began initiating Reiki students.

Geordie began studying metaphysics and astrology in his teens. He graduated high school at the top of his class and then chose to pursue a career as a musician. After 10 years in the music business, he felt he needed a change and began working as a health food chef. This was a time of spiritual awakening for Geordie. He began practicing meditation and Taoist energy enhancement techniques which resulted in a massive satori (spontaneous experience of awakening) which changed his life forever.
