Creating Community In my personal and professional life as a teacher and healer, I have developed a deep appreciation for the value of communities based on universal spiritual principals. When we pray, meditate, celebrate, and share healing in compassionate community, our bodies and spirits become renewed and enhanced, our networks expand and our relationships grow deeper. As creator of Deer Spirit Reiki Circle and assistant organizer of the NYC Reiki Meetup, I can facilitate the ongoing creation of these wonderful communities. Deer Spirit Reiki Circle
I started the circle as a place for my students and Reiki practitioners from other lineages to meditate and share Reiki. The circle is open to the public so that anyone who is interested in learning Reiki or receiving Reiki treatments can meet me and my students, get a short treatment, ask questions and find out what Reiki is all about. I ask for a $10 donation from all participants. NYC Reiki Meetup The NYC Reiki Meetup was created in 2004 by Reiki Master Jackie Rose. It rapidly became one of the biggest and most active meetups in the city. Now under the leadership of Reiki Master Meryl Brinin, the meetup has 700 + members and hosts several monthly events, including social networking dinners, practitioners exchanges, and workshops and presentations by Reiki Masters from all over the world.

I started the Deer Spirit Reiki Circle on the Vernal Equinox (1st day of spring), Monday, March 20th , 2006. The circle meets every Monday night from 7pm to 9:30pm at Madison Wellness Center, 171 Madison Ave. @ 33rd St., Suite 908. We start with a guided meditation and then give ½ hr. Reiki treatments.
